Atlanta’s homeowner vacancy rate is the fourth highest among major U.S. cities, standing at 5.4%. The rate has been rising since early 2010, when it stood at just 2%. Rental vacancies have been much worse — in 2010 the city’s rental vacancy rate never dipped below 13% and was as high as 14.9% at the beginning of the year.

One of the seven wonders of Cobb County is Brandi’s Hot Dogs.  This is a classic old restaurant that will remind you of an old time movie.  The folks who eat here are locals who all know each other, and they can spot somebody from out of town.  This place is so classic, that they don’t even have a credit card machine.  Grab a stool, eat a dog with chili and slaw falling off the edges, and clean up with paper towels off the roll. But you can be sure to find the world’s best hot dog here, and they won’t gouge you on price either.

Another one of the seven wonders in Cobb County is Marietta Square.  There are great things to do here, some of the favorites include:

In 2006, Marietta GA was winner of the “All-America City Award.”  The award went to them as Marietta is one of America’s top 10 best cities, as decided by the National Civic League, which sponsors the oldest and most respected community recognition award in the country.  According to sources, the Marietta won because of their emphasis on community. Marietta has dozens of community programs.  Other factors include Marietta’s crime reduction (by 22%), and the 1/3 of a billion dollars they invested in redevelopment. If theme parks are thrilling to you, then Marietta is also your place to be.  Six Flags White Water is the South’s largest water park with nearly 50 ways to get wet, and is a perfect escape from those hot days.  You can also go to America Adventures them park, where there are Go Karts, bumper cars, roller coasters and so much more.  Other things to do include miniature golfing, arcade, indoor climbing, and the list can continue.  Marietta is a perfect place to go enjoy your time.

Atlanta and the surrounding area is known for its country clubs and golf courses.  The Marietta Golf Center is one of Marietta’s hidden gems.  With plush green grass, and a beautiful driving range and more, the Mariettta Golf Center is the perfect way to touch up on your golfing skills.  If you want lessons, then they are offered here as well.
